Creating A New Fall Back

Life these days seems to be fast pace. When you think you finally have it all together, all under control, a quick change comes up and all of a sudden you are thrown into full throttle. Let’s face it, every time we think to ourselves “I will do that when life slows down” life only speeds up.

2018 was a year of quick changes, out of ordinary challenges and Pizza. I mean lots of pizza. It seemed like after a busy day, the only thing that sounded good and simple, was throwing in a frozen pizza, making a drink and calling it good. That was our fall back. When life got even crazier, pizza was our go to.

Don’t get me wrong, I love pizza! It is a staple in our family. Slowly, I found myself giving into more and more of my unhealthy cravings and less and less of healthy eating habits. My current health definitely proved that I threw caution to the wind and just gave in. Because let’s face it, life is simply a rat race and we fall back on what we think is easiest.

After reflecting on our year of changes, I now know, for 2019, that my easy fall back has to change. I need to retrain my brain to think that eating wisely and healthier is not harder but easy, just like throwing in a frozen pizza.
